Questions
Asked when the clock is running
Timing, price and the day itself. If yours isn't here, put it in the notes of your request and your advisor will answer it with the quote.
Timing
How late can I book a private jet?
Sometimes within a few hours, if a crew and an aircraft are available near your departure airport. The earlier you ask, the more options there are, so send the request as soon as the trip looks likely, even if details may change.
Are last-minute flights cheaper?
Only sometimes. An empty leg already heading your way can be well below a regular charter, but short notice can also mean paying to reposition an aircraft from farther away. When both exist, we show you both.
What do you need from me to quote a short-notice trip?
Departure and arrival airports or cities, the date and earliest departure time, the number of passengers, bags (especially skis, golf bags or anything bulky) and any pets. For international trips, add passport nationalities.
Can I fly internationally at short notice?
Often, yes, but documents take time. Passports, visas where needed and some destinations' permits must be in order before departure. Tell us early if the trip leaves the country.
Is it better to wait for an empty leg?
Only if your plans can bend. Ask for a regular quote now so you know what a firm aircraft costs, and let us watch for repositioning flights at the same time. If one fits, take it; if not, you still have a real option.
Can I change the departure time after booking?
Ask as early as possible. Small moves are often possible if the crew's duty day and the aircraft's next trip allow it. Larger changes may be repriced under the charter agreement.
Price and payment
What does an all-in quote include?
Everything we know the trip will cost: the charter itself, the 7.5% federal excise tax and per-passenger segment fees on US domestic flights, plus landing and handling charges. Items only settled on the day, such as de-icing, are flagged as estimates.
How do I pay at short notice?
Payment terms are set in the charter agreement with the operator. On short-notice trips, operators usually require payment before departure. Your advisor will explain the options for your flight.
Do I need a membership or deposit?
None needed. Ask for as many quotes as you like without an account, a card on file or a deposit. Payment only comes up once you pick a flight and sign its charter agreement.
Why did my short-notice quote include repositioning?
Because the aircraft that can make your departure is based somewhere else. You pay for the hours it flies to reach you and to return. A nearby airport or a different time can sometimes reduce that.
On the day
How early should I get to the private terminal?
Usually 15 to 30 minutes before departure for domestic flights, more for international ones, where passports are checked before boarding. Your advisor confirms the time for your trip.
What do I bring?
Photo ID for everyone, passports and any visas for trips abroad, and soft bags where you can. Tell us about anything bulky in advance so the aircraft has room.
Can I bring my dog?
Often, yes. Lots of operators allow dogs and cats in the cabin if they know ahead, so put the pet's size and breed in your request and aircraft that won't take it are ruled out.
